My name is Beatrice, but most know me as BEE. By day, my love of technology has manifested into a career in Cyber Security, but don't let that fool you! I've refused to allow my humanity to be entirely lost to the land of ones and zeros... 

Art, in its myriad forms, has been a parallel passion in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I doodled, I sketched, I created, I crafted. I did it all, but always struggled to find direction or purpose in my work. That was, until one day, frustrated and tired but determined to create something new, I began an assault on my canvas with any materials that were close enough to grab. 

I unleashed.

It was then my interest for abstract expressionism was born. The idea that I could create seemingly benign imagery capable of invoking intense emotions enthralled me. I soon discovered that with tactfully executed brush strokes and subtle splatters of chaos, I could tell a story I never knew how to express in words, building a narrative around the intangible. 

I attempt to achieve this in each work through bold use of color, a focus on flow (or the absence of it), and an overwhelming sense of scale. I work in a wide range of mediums including graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, pastels, ink, and acrylic paint. However, I am constantly experimenting with new materials and techniques to find those best suited for the inspiration behind each new creation.
